Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Kielbasa

Slice the kielbasa sausage into 1/2-inch thick rounds and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Pineapple

If using fresh pineapple, cut it into bite-sized chunks. If using canned, drain the chunks and set aside.

BBQ Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the BBQ Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are blended.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Kielbasa

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sliced kielbasa and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and heated through.

  2. 5

    Add Pineapple and BBQ Sauce

Add the pineapple chunks to the skillet with the kielbasa. Pour the prepared BBQ sauce over the mixture and stir to coat the kielbasa and pineapple evenly.

  3. 6

    Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, serve the BBQ kielbasa hot, garnished with extra pineapple chunks if desired.
