Cheesecake Ingredients

Method

Cheesecake Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted unsalted butter, and salt until well mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.

  2. 2

    Make the cheesecake filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Gradually add granulated sugar, mixing until well combined. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined after each addition.

  3. 3

    Bake the cheesecake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.

  4. 4

    Cool and refrigerate

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
