Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Turkey Patties
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you like. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
- 2
Grill the Patties
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the turkey patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 3
Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of habanero jack cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- 4
Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the Kaiser buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Burgers
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the lettuce leaf on top, followed by the turkey patty with melted cheese, and then add tomato slices. Drizzle chipotle barbecue sauce on top, and finish with the top half of the bun.
