Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Dredge in Flour

Spread the all-purpose flour on a plate. Dredge each salmon fillet in the flour, shaking off any excess.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Salmon

Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 5

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth, and bring to a simmer. Add the capers and lemon juice, stirring to combine.

  4. 6

    Combine and Serve

Return the salmon to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes to heat through. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
