Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Once the yeast mixture is activated, add it along with olive oil to the flour mixture.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Assembling Pizza Rolls

  1. 5

    Prepare Filling

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Add Filling

Spread the red pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Evenly distribute the pepperoni slices and shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

  3. 7

    Roll Up

Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough up tightly into a log shape.

  4. 8

    Cut into Rolls

Slice the log into 1-inch pieces and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking and Serving

  1. 9

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 10

    Add Toppings

In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Sprinkle this mixture over the pizza rolls.

  3. 11

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  4. 12

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with extra red pizza sauce for dipping.
