Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Green Beans
Wash the green beans thoroughly under cold water. Trim the ends and cut them into 2-inch pieces.
- 2
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the Dou-Chi, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water. Mix well to create the sauce.
Cooking
- 3
Sauté the Beans
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the prepared green beans and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are bright green and slightly blistered.
- 4
Add the Sauce
Pour the prepared sauce over the sautéed green beans in the skillet. Stir well to coat the beans evenly. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the sautéed green beans to a serving dish and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
