Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broccoli

Wash the fresh broccoli crowns under cold water. Cut the crowns into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

  2. 2

    Slice the Steak

Trim any excess fat from the steak. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips, approximately 1/4 inch thick.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

In a wok or large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, season with salt and black pepper, and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes or until the steak is browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

  2. 4

    Stir-Fry the Broccoli

In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add the broccoli crowns and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked steak to the wok with the broccoli. Pour in the soy sauce and toss everything together, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to coat the beef and broccoli.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Transfer the Crown of Broccoli to a serving dish and serve immediately. Enjoy your crispy fresh broccoli crowns wok-tossed with juicy strips of steak!
