Sliders
Method
Pulled Pork Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Trim any excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
- 2
Season the Pork
In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork chunks.
- 3
Sear the Pork
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chunks and sear on all sides until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 4
Cook the Pork
In a slow cooker, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, seared pork, BBQ sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the pork is tender.
- 5
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
Slider Assembly
- 6
Prepare the Sliders
Slice the slider buns in half and place them on a serving platter.
- 7
Assemble the Sliders
Spoon a generous amount of pulled pork onto the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with coleslaw and pickles.
- 8
Serve
Place the top half of the slider bun on each assembled slider and serve immediately.
