Macaroni & Cheese Wedges

Method

Macaroni & Cheese Wedges

1

Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2

Make the Cheese Sauce

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the all-purpose flour and cook for about 1 minute until bubbly. Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens. Stir in the cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, and paprika until the cheese is melted and smooth.

3

Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well. Stir in the chopped green onions.

4

Prepare for Baking

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

5

Chill and Cut

Refrigerate the dish for at least 1 hour until set. Once chilled, cut the mixture into wedges.

6

Coat with Bread Crumbs

Roll each wedge in bread crumbs until completely coated.

7

Bake the Wedges

Place the coated wedges on the baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Ranch Dressing

8

Prepare the Dressing

In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.

9

Add Seasonings

Stir in the dried dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh parsley. Mix until well combined.

10

Chill

Refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
