Preparation Steps
1. Prepare the Edamame
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for 5 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
2. Grill the Lemon
Cut the lemon in half. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the cut sides of the lemon with a little olive oil and place them cut-side down on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes until charred.
3. Make the Korean Dipping Sauce
In a small bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Mix well to combine.
4. Assemble the Dish
In a serving bowl, toss the cooked edamame with salt and the charred lemon juice (squeezed from the grilled lemon). Drizzle with any remaining olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
5. Serve
Serve the edamame warm with the Korean dipping sauce on the side.
