Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Seasoning the Steak
Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- 2
- 3
Adding Aromatics
After flipping, add garlic cloves and fresh rosemary to the skillet. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness.
- 4
Resting the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Preparing the Potatoes
Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips for fries. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch.
- 6
Soaking the Fries
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps to achieve crispy fries.
- 7
Heating the Oil
In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Frying the Potatoes
Fry the soaked and drained potato strips in batches, about 4-5 minutes per batch or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 9
Seasoning the Fries
Sprinkle the hot fries with salt immediately after removing them from the oil.
