Cooking Pasta

Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tri-colored rotini and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain and Set Aside
Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside in a large mixing bowl.
Cooking Shrimp

Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle with spicy jerk seasoning and cook until the shrimp turns pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Combine Ingredients
In the bowl with the pasta, add the sautéed shrimp, chopped basil, sliced green onion, diced tomato, red wine tomato sauce, and lime juice. Toss well to combine all ingredients evenly.

Heat Through
Place the combined mixture back into the skillet and heat over low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently to warm through.
Serving

Serve hot in bowls, garnishing with additional basil or green onions if desired.
