Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Spaghetti

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 2

    Sauté Aromatics

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped green onion. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 3

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

Stir in the diced tomatoes, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the tomatoes to soften.

  3. 4

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the red wine and scrape the bottom of the skillet to release any flavorful bits. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly reduced.

  4. 5

    Add Broth

Add the beef broth to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combining

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce in the skillet. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
