Method
Chicken Tenders Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the all-purpose flour in the first, beaten egg mixed with milk in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each strip is well-coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat 2 cups of cooking oil over medium heat until hot.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
French Fries Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 7
Soak the Fries
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 8
Heat the Oil for Frying
In a separate large pot, heat 2 cups of cooking oil over medium-high heat.
- 9
Fry the Potatoes
Drain and pat dry the potato strips. Carefully place them into the hot oil and fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
