Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of instant yeast, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of sugar. Stir until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

Pour in 3 tbs of warm water and 1 tbs of olive oil into the dry ingredients. Mix with a spatula until a dough begins to form.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the kneaded dough back into the bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until it has doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure it’s hot enough for the pizza.

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

After the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a 10-inch circle.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Spread 1 cup of pizza sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle 1.5 cups of mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce. Add 1 tsp of dried oregano and 1 tsp of dried basil for flavor.

  4. 8

    Finish with Parmesan

Sprinkle 1 tbs of parmesan cheese over the top of the pizza.

  5. 9

    Bake the Pizza

Carefully transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  6. 10

    Cool and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
