Bread Pudding Ingredients
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter. Tear the day-old bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in the baking dish.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Combine
Pour the wet mixture over the torn bread pieces in the baking dish. Gently fold in the raisins or chocolate chips, ensuring all bread pieces are well coated.
- 4
Bake
Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes, then place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 5
Serve
Let the bread pudding cool slightly before serving. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature, and pairs well with whipped cream or ice cream.
