Cheesecake and Donut Base
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Donut Base
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine melted butter, milk, sugar, and eggs. Mix well until smooth. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool.
- 2
Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar and beat until creamy. Add the vanilla extract and sour cream, mixing well. Add the eggs one at a time, blending after each addition until just combined.
- 3
Combine and Layer
Pour half of the cheesecake mixture over the cooled donut base. Add half of the raspberries on top. Pour the remaining cheesecake mixture and then top with the rest of the raspberries. Use a knife to gently swirl the raspberries into the cheesecake.
- 4
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool gradually. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 5
Serve
Before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar and garnish with additional raspberries if desired. Slice and enjoy!
