Meatballs and Marinara
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, approximately 8-10 minutes.
- 4
Add the Marinara Sauce
Once browned, pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs. Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
- 5
Add Provolone Cheese
During the last few minutes of cooking, place slices of provolone cheese on top of the meatballs and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- 6
Serve
Serve the meatballs hot with extra marinara sauce, if desired.
