Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Add Chocolate Chunks
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chunks.

Scoop the Dough
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake Cookies
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may look slightly underbaked.

Cool and Serve
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. For an ooey-gooey experience, pop them in the microwave for 20-30 seconds before serving.
