Pulled Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Ensure that the pork is evenly coated with the spice mixture.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a smoker preheated to 225°F (107°C). Smoke for about 6 to 8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C) and the meat is tender.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once the pork is done smoking, remove it from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes. After resting, shred the pork using two forks, mixing in the apple cider vinegar.

  4. 4

    Combine with BBQ Sauce

Add the BBQ sauce to the shredded pork and mix well to combine. Adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to taste.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Toast the burger buns if desired, then pile the pulled pork mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, pickles, and red onions. Place the top half of the bun on each sandwich.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the BBQ Smokehouse sandwiches hot, with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
