Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

In a medium pot, cook the rice according to package instructions. Typically, this involves rinsing the rice, adding it to boiling water, and cooking for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Once cooked, set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken breast, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced top sirloin steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Shrimp

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, chopped onion, and bell pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked chicken and steak back into the skillet with the shrimp. Stir to combine and heat through for another 2 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

In a serving dish, place a bed of cooked rice. Spoon the sautéed mixture of shrimp, chicken, and steak over the rice. Drizzle the chile con queso sauce on top. Garnish with lime wedges.
