Prepare the Crust

Make the Crust
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, melted butter, and salt until crumbly. Press mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.

Pre-bake the Crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool.
Make the Cheesecake Filling

Blend the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and heavy cream until fully combined.

Bake the Cheesecake
Pour the cheesecake mixture over the pre-baked crust. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the top is deeply golden and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn the oven off, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool for 1 hour inside the oven.
Prepare the Port Reduction

Make the Reduction
In a saucepan, combine port wine and granulated sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and reduce until thickened, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
Serve

Serve the Cheesecake
Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, drizzle with port reduction, and serve.
