Preparation
1. Cook the Oats
In a medium saucepan, bring the water or milk to a boil. Add the rolled oats and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.
2. Prepare Toppings
While the oats are cooking, slice the banana and chop the pecans if they are whole.
