Mousse Duo Ingredients

Method

Mousse Duo Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Gelatin

Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5 minutes until soft. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make Milk Chocolate Mousse

Melt the milk chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Once melted, add 1 tablespoon of heavy cream to the chocolate and mix until combined. Stir in the Grand Marnier. Allow to cool slightly.

  3. 3

Whip Cream for Milk Chocolate Mousse

In a separate bowl, whip 150 ml of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled milk chocolate mixture. Add a pinch of powdered sugar to taste.

  4. 4

    Set the Milk Chocolate Layer

Pour the milk chocolate mousse into serving glasses, filling them halfway. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.

  5. 5

    Make White Chocolate Mousse

Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Add the gelatin sheets to the melted chocolate and stir until dissolved. Allow to cool slightly.

  6. 6

Whip Cream for White Chocolate Mousse

In another bowl, whip the remaining 150 ml of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the orange zest and the whipped cream into the white chocolate mixture. Add a pinch of powdered sugar to taste.

  7. 7

    Finish the Mousse Duo

Once the milk chocolate layer is set, spoon the white chocolate mousse over the milk chocolate mousse in the glasses. Chill for another 30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Serve

Garnish with additional orange zest or whipped cream if desired, and serve chilled.
