French Toast

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the custard

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 2

    Soak the bread

Dip each slice of challah bread into the custard mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.

  3. 3

    Cook the bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook the French toast

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the soaked challah slices and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the French toast warm, drizzled with maple syrup and topped with crispy bacon.
