Fish Preparation

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Rinse the whitefish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. 2

    Choose Your Cooking Method

Decide how you want your fish cooked: fried, blackened, or grilled.

  3. 3

    Fried Method

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.

  4. 4

    Blackened Method

In a small bowl, mix cayenne pepper and remaining spices. Coat both sides of the fillets with the spice mix. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until charred and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Grilled Method

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the fillets with olive oil and lemon juice. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle fresh parsley over the cooked fish and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
