Method
Preparing the Ribs
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This low temperature will help tenderize the ribs.
- 2
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and apple cider vinegar to create a marinade.
- 3
Apply the Marinade
Rub the marinade all over the pork and beef ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the fridge.
- 4
Bake the Ribs
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil and cover them with another piece of foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
Making the Cornbread
- 5
Prepare the Cornbread Mixture
In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- 6
- 7
Bake the Cornbread
Grease a baking dish and pour the cornbread batter into it. Bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Finishing Touches
- 8
Glaze the Ribs
Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush with your favorite barbecue sauce. Return to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, uncovered.
- 9
Serve
Slice the ribs and serve them hot with the cornbread on the side. Enjoy your delicious Rib Combo!
