Method
Preparing the Chicken Wings
Clean and Dry the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Make sure there is enough oil to fully submerge the wings.
Frying the Wings
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the seasoned chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and place them on a paper towel-lined plate.
Making the Buffalo Sauce
Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the hot sauce, garlic powder, and honey until well combined.
Toss Wings in Sauce
In a large bowl, add the fried wings and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated in the sauce.
Preparing the Ranch Dressing
Mix Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
Serving
Plate the Wings
Transfer the buffalo wings to a serving platter and serve with the ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
