Method

Pastrami Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Shape the mixture into two equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  3. 3

    Warm the Pastrami

In a separate pan, warm the pastrami slices over low heat for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top, followed by the warmed pastrami and pickle slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
