Preparation of Fruits

  1. 1

    Slice the fruits

Wash and slice the orange, lemon, and lime into thin rounds. Hull and slice the strawberries. Cut the pineapple into small chunks.

Mixing the Sangria

  1. 2

    Combine ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the sliced fruits (orange, lemon, lime, strawberries, and pineapple). Pour in the red wine and add BBQ sauce. Stir well to combine.

  2. 3

    Sweeten the mixture

Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and black pepper to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and all ingredients are well mixed.

Chilling and Serving

  1. 4

    Chill

Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld together.

  2. 5

    Add sparkling water

Just before serving, add sparkling water to the pitcher and stir gently to combine.

  3. 6

    Serve

Pour the BBQ sangria into glasses filled with ice and garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves.
