Preparing the Ribs

Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, then rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Season the Ribs
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring an even coat on both sides.
Smoking the Ribs

Smoke the Ribs
Place the ribs in the smoker bone-side down. Smoke for about 5-6 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature and adding wood chips as necessary for flavor.
Making the BBQ Sauce

Prepare the BBQ Sauce
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
