Pie Crust

Method

Pie Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Pie Crust

In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add cold water, mixing until the dough comes together. Divide into two discs, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Filling Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple, red onion, crumbled bacon, feta cheese, tomato sauce, black pepper, and oregano. Mix well to combine.

Assembling and Baking

  1. 3

    Assemble the Pie

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out one disc of pie dough on a floured surface and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan. Pour the filling into the crust. Roll out the second disc of dough and place it over the filling. Seal and crimp the edges, then cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

  2. 4

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
