Preparing the Croutons

Make the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Making the Dressing

Prepare the Dressing
In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Assembling the Salad

Toss the Salad
In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and grated parmesan cheese. Add the dressing and toss until everything is well coated. If desired, add anchovy fillets on top.
