Steak Bites

Teriyaki Mushroom Sauce

Method

Steak Preparation

1

Prep the Steak

Cut the tenderloin-tail steak into bite-sized cubes and season with salt and black pepper.

2

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet, crumble, and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.

3

Sear the Steak Bites

Increase heat to high and add olive oil to the skillet. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Teriyaki Mushroom Sauce Preparation

4

Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

5

Combine Ingredients

Add soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Final Assembly

6

Combine Steak and Sauce

Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the teriyaki mushroom sauce to coat evenly.

7

Garnish and Serve

Transfer the steak bites to a serving platter, sprinkle with crumbled bacon, sliced green onions, and toasted sesame seeds. Serve warm.
