Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Chicken

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.

2

Cook the Chicken

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

3

Prepare the Vegetables

While the chicken is cooking, chop the lettuce, dice the tomato, and thinly slice the red onion.

Assembly

4

Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, layer the chopped lettuce, diced tomato, and sliced red onion. Add the sliced chicken on top.

5

Add Toppings

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the salad and drizzle with ranch dressing. Top with tortilla chips for added crunch.

6

Serve

Toss the salad gently to combine all ingredients. Serve immediately, garnished with extra tortilla chips on the side.
