Preparation Steps
- 1
Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Once the yeast mixture is frothy, add it to the flour mixture along with melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 4
Shape the Bread
Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten it into a disc.
- 5
Bake the Bread
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the discs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the coco bread to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
