Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Rinse the fish and pat dry. Rub the fish with salt, black pepper, garlic, ginger, and lime juice. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Set them aside.

  3. 3

    Steam the Fish

In a steamer or a pot with a steaming rack, add about 1 cup of water. Place the marinated fish on the steamer and cover. Steam for 10-15 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.

  4. 4

    Steam the Vegetables

In the last 5 minutes of cooking the fish, add the chopped vegetables to the steamer to cook them until tender but still crisp.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Bammy

Soak the bammy in water for about 5 minutes. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then fry the soaked bammy for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the steamed fish with vegetables on the side and serve with crispy bammy. Enjoy!
