Jamaican Patty

Method

Preparation of Jamaican Patty

1

Cook the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Add the ground beef, scotch bonnet pepper, all-purpose seasoning, paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through. Allow to cool.

2

Assemble the Patties

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into circles. Place a tablespoon of the beef filling in the center of each circle. Fold the pastry over to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges by crimping with a fork.

3

Bake the Patties

Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
