Directions for Making General Tso's Cauliflower

Prepare the Cauliflower
Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets. Rinse and pat dry.

Make the Tempura Batter
In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, cold water, and salt until smooth.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the tempura batter and carefully place it into the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Orange Glaze
In a saucepan, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.

Mix the Broccoli Slaw
In a large bowl, combine the broccoli slaw mix with the fried cauliflower and drizzle with the orange glaze. Toss gently to combine.

Serve and Garnish
Plate the General Tso's cauliflower and slaw mixture. Sprinkle with Furikake seasoning, sesame seeds, and sliced green onions. Serve hot.
