Fried Chicken

Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, eggs, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until smooth.

Coat the Chicken
Dip the chicken breasts into the buttermilk mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Then, in a separate bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch together. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere.

Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken breasts. Fry for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Hot Honey
In a small saucepan, combine honey, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over low heat until warm and well combined. Set aside.
Pickles and Slaw

Prepare the Slaw
In a large bowl, mix the shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss to combine.

Assemble the Sandwich
To assemble, spread a generous amount of hot honey sauce on the bottom half of the brioche bun. Place the fried chicken breast on top, followed by a layer of slaw and dill pickles. Finish with the top half of the bun.
