Method

French Toast Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 2

    Dip the Bread

Take each slice of sourdough bread and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated well. Allow any excess to drip off.

  3. 3

    Cook the French Toast

In a large skillet or griddle, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Place the soaked slices of bread onto the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Add more butter as needed for subsequent batches.

  4. 4

    Serve

Once cooked, transfer the French toast to a plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and keep warm.

Cooking the Protein

  1. 5

    Cook the Bacon

Using the same skillet, after cooking the French toast, add the bacon slices. Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes or until crispy, flipping halfway through. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Preparing Tater Tots

  1. 6

    Bake the Tater Tots

Preheat the oven according to the package instructions for the tater tots. Spread the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
