COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the pork spare ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a dry rub. Generously season both sides of the ribs with the dry rub.

  2. 2

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

  3. 3

    Add Barbecue Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sides

While the ribs are baking, prepare the coleslaw and baked beans according to your preferred recipes or package instructions.

  5. 5

    Toast the Bread

In the last few minutes of cooking the ribs, toast the Texas toast in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once the ribs are done, slice them into portions. Serve the ribs with coleslaw, baked beans, and Texas toast on the side.
