Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, finely chopped mushrooms, chopped onion, oats, garlic powder, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are blended together.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of olive oil if desired. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the whole wheat kaiser rolls if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each roll, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, onion, mayonnaise, and pickles. Top with the other half of the roll.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the garden burgers immediately with your choice of sides.
