Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  3. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips or your choice of mix-ins.

  5. 5

    Bake

Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool and Serve

Allow the cookie cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
