Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prep the Potato
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash the Idaho potato thoroughly under running water and scrub the skin to remove any dirt.
- 2
Pierce the Potato
Using a fork, poke several holes around the potato to allow steam to escape while baking.
- 3
Bake the Potato
Place the potato directly onto the middle rack of the preheated oven. Bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the flesh.
- 4
Prepare Toppings
While the potato is baking, prepare your toppings. Measure out the sour cream and butter.
- 5
Serve
Once the potato is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Cut a slit down the middle and fluff the inside with a fork. Add sour cream and butter on top, then serve immediately.
