Prepare the Mussels or Clams
Rinse the mussels or clams under cold water, scrubbing the shells to remove any grit. Discard any that are open and do not close when tapped.

Add Wine and Cook
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer, allowing it to cook for about 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.

Steam the Mussels or Clams
Add the cleaned mussels or clams to the pot. Cover with a lid and steam for 5-7 minutes, or until the shells open wide.

Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine.
