Cajun Blackened Ahi Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prep the Ahi

Pat the ahi tuna steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub both sides of the tuna steaks generously with Cajun seasoning, pressing it into the fish to adhere.

  2. 2

    Heat the Grill

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it heat for about 1 minute.

  3. 3

    Grill the Ahi

Place the seasoned ahi steaks on the hot grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until a nice char forms and the fish is cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sides

While the fish is grilling, prepare the sides. If using canned corn, drain it; if using frozen, cook according to package instructions. Serve the cooked rice or French fries on the side.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once the tuna is done, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a minute. Slice the tuna if desired and serve it with rice or French fries, a side of mixed salad greens, corn, and lemon wedges.
