Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning with cayenne pepper if desired.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Coat generously with the BBQ sauce. Cover tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.

  2. 5

    Slow Cook

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.

  3. 6

    Finish on the Grill

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil and brush with more BBQ sauce. Grill for about 5 minutes on each side until caramelized.
