Cake Directions

  1. 1

    Bake the Cake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Milk Mixture

In a separate bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk. Mix well until smooth.

  3. 3

    Soak the Cake

Once the cake is baked and cooled, poke holes all over the top with a fork. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  4. 4

    Prepare Toppings

Before serving, top the cake with whipped cream and your choice of sliced peaches or strawberries.
