Prepare the Ingredients

Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit. Drain and set aside.

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

Sauté the Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add the Spinach

Slowly add the spinach to the skillet in batches, stirring constantly until the spinach wilts down. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

Season the Spinach

Once the spinach has wilted, season with salt and black pepper. Drizzle with lemon juice and toss to combine.

Remove from heat and serve immediately as a side dish.
